Project planning
At the first stage, the technical assignment from the customer is being studied. We define the mission of the application, the target audience, business goals and features of the agricultural sector. We also select the appropriate technology stack, architecture, and determine which platforms the agrotech application will be developed for.
For more information about which development to choose (native or cross-platform), we wrote here.
Designing the user interface
For 6 weeks, our designers have been engaged in UX design, creating a user-friendly interface and interactive prototypes.
Functional development
Creating a cross-platform or native application (3-4 months). We provide integration with accounting modules, weather services and internal corporate systems.
The application can be synchronized with remote monitoring platforms, warehouses and logistics.
Testing the application
We perform automated and manual software testing for performance, functionality, security, and compatibility with different devices.
Release and support
After the release of the mobile agrotech application, the application performance is monitored and logs are monitored. Our team promptly fixes any inaccuracies and bugs that arise.
We develop mobile applications for agriculture, agricultural firms, and vertical farms that help control businesses at any stage, from soil preparation to harvest.
Our solutions easily integrate with IoT devices, sensors, and external services to:
Plan and manage agricultural processes (manage the schedule of crops, watering, harvesting and animal care from a single application).
Maintain records of equipment, schedules, and work processes.
Automate routine tasks (the program independently collects data from sensors, calculates fertilizer rates, feed volume, and optimal time for tillage).
Monitor the condition of the farm in real time (sensors monitor humidity, temperature, lighting, condition of livestock and equipment. Everything is displayed in the mobile interface).
Predict climate and crop yields (the app helps you take into account weather risks, plan work, and choose the optimal periods for planting, watering, and harvesting).
Reduce costs (cost analysis systems allow you to optimize the cost of seeds, fertilizers and feed. Algorithms select the most effective solutions for specific crops and conditions).
Manage staff and tasks (control over work tasks, assign roles, and track progress — all via smartphone, with minimal effort and maximum transparency).
Receive advice and support (quick access to recommendations from agronomists and experts based on sensor data and the current state of the farm).
An example of the digitalization of agriculture is our SOILink case study on the development of an MVP application for Bayer AG. We have created an app for almond farmers in California to monitor key agricultural indicators in real time: humidity, temperature, watering, yield and costs. The solution combined data from IoT sensors and third-party APIs (CIMIS, NOAA), simplified farm management and allowed to reduce costs, increase efficiency and profit.
We are developing an MVP (minimum viable version of the product) in 2-4 months. This provides an opportunity:
Quickly enter the market and start testing the business model;
Collect feedback from real users;
Minimize risks before scaling.
We use Flutter technology, which allows us to create universal solutions for iOS and Android. This reduces the release time by 1.5–2 times and reduces the cost of maintaining the application.
The budget depends on the chosen approach. For example, cross-platform development on Flutter for an agricultural company will reduce costs compared to native development.
AgriTech is the application of modern technologies in agriculture to make it more efficient, sustainable and profitable. In simple terms, agrotech helps farmers grow more and better using fewer resources — through sensors, drones, mobile apps, artificial intelligence, and automation.
For example, using the agrotech app, you can accurately calculate how much fertilizer a field needs, identify plant diseases from photos, manage irrigation through the app, or collect real-time data from the farm. This allows you to reduce costs, reduce risks and improve yields.
For farms, agricultural holdings, vertical farms, organic producers and processing companies — anyone who wants to optimize agricultural processes and reduce costs.
The applications are adapted for agronomists, managers, farmers, equipment operators, livestock technicians and logisticians, taking into account the tasks and needs of each.
