The stages of creating an application for agriculture

Project planning

At the first stage, the technical assignment from the customer is being studied. We define the mission of the application, the target audience, business goals and features of the agricultural sector. We also select the appropriate technology stack, architecture, and determine which platforms the agrotech application will be developed for.

Designing the user interface

For 6 weeks, our designers have been engaged in UX design, creating a user-friendly interface and interactive prototypes.

Functional development

Creating a cross-platform or native application (3-4 months). We provide integration with accounting modules, weather services and internal corporate systems.

  • Manage staff and tasks (control over work tasks, assign roles, and track progress — all via smartphone, with minimal effort and maximum transparency).
     

  • Receive advice and support (quick access to recommendations from agronomists and experts based on sensor data and the current state of the farm).

An example of the digitalization of agriculture is our SOILink case study on the development of an MVP application for Bayer AG.  We have created an app for almond farmers in California to monitor key agricultural indicators in real time: humidity, temperature, watering, yield and costs. The solution combined data from IoT sensors and third-party APIs (CIMIS, NOAA), simplified farm management and allowed to reduce costs, increase efficiency and profit.
