A large jewelry store chain with 300+ points of sale across the country needed a working digital tool for sales consultants. The solution was supposed to speed up customer service, provide quick access to the product catalog and customer profile, as well as help increase sales through personal recommendations.
It took us 3.5 months to build and roll out a cross-platform mobile application. The customer had their own backend development team, but there were no mobile development specialists. Therefore, we had to quickly form a team for the project and have time to assemble an MVP in order to run it on a limited group of users.
We have developed the application on Flutter. A team was assembled for the project: the Flutter team leader, two Middle-level developers, and a QA engineer. Our specialists have provided a full cycle of mobile development and testing.
The product passed the test run on time and immediately showed effectiveness. The consultants received a convenient tool for their work, as well as business confirmation of hypotheses about sales growth and service quality improvement.
The interface is designed to be as simple and utilitarian as possible: quick product search, instant barcode scanning, large order buttons, and quick access to the customer's profile. Everything superfluous was removed so that the consultant could work in the "one-handed" mode without distracting from the buyer. The color scheme and identity were adapted to the brand (under the NDA) — they retained the corporate identity and added a modern accent.
Planning and design
Setting up processes within a cross-functional team.

UX/UI design
Development of an interface focused on the consultant's work speed: minimum clicks, large controls, convenient navigation.
MVP Implementation
Launch a limited test by the key date (March 8th).
Testing
Checking the stability of the application in real conditions of jewelry trade.
Barcode scanning and quick search — the consultant can instantly find the right product and show alternatives through the "Similar" selection.
Product catalog — easy navigation and filters for working with the assortment.
Making an order is an opportunity to quickly assemble an order directly from the consultant's device, without additional systems.
Customer profile — purchase history, preferences, and recommendations.
Personalization of the experience — thanks to customer data, the consultant can offer relevant products and raise the average check.
The main challenge was the tight deadlines — only 3.5 months. It was necessary to simultaneously establish the interaction of the cross-functional team and manage to release the MVP by an important date. Also, the mobile part of the project was conducted from scratch, and the processes required synchronization with the customer's backend team.
After the launch of the mobile application, the order processing speed increased 3 times. Due to recommendations and purchase history, there were fewer missed sales, additional sales and the average receipt increased.
For sellers, the developed solution has become a work assistant. It has become easier for employees of jewelry stores to understand the assortment, offer suitable products and work with the client on the spot. The new tool has increased overall motivation and service levels, which has had an impact on business results.
